Germin Yeo’s movement journey began with yoga. She acquired her 500-hour yoga teachers’ certification at Como Shambhala in 2008 and has been teaching since. Her thirst to explore the benefits of different styles of yoga led her to train in Hatha, Iyengar, Yin, and Pre-natal. Her exploration of body movement has since expanded beyond yoga to include Thai bodywork training in Chiang Mai, a Level 2 rock climbing certification, and a recreational Acroyoga practice.
In 2009, she started practicing Pilates to complement her yoga practice. She completed a Pilates matwork course with iPilates in 2010 to gain deeper understanding. However, a busy schedule led her Pilates practice to pause for nearly two years, when she accumulated various injuries from her body’s physical imbalances which she never experienced before. Since then, Pilates has become an integral part of her lifestyle, alongside yoga and rock climbing.
Germin’s experience in the fitness scene led her to develop a unique personal practice and ability to communicate with different audiences, from full time mothers to the athletic individual.
She promotes a fun yet effective practice, promoting a sense of wellness with her playful yet no-nonsense disposition.
